Heifers like these are being bred to JR Matrix, an outstanding young bull that combines the Hunts Command Respect line on the top of his pedigree with a 5X dose of Gunman on the bottom.

Cottonwood Creek Ranch has been in continual operation by the same family since 1893. We're dedicated to breeding quality Texas Longhorns from the best bloodlines in the breed. JR Handiman, our senior herd sire, GF Star Man (a Gunman brother), and fantastic newcomer, JR Matrix (Gunman & Hunts Command Respect) are currently breeding a herd of 60” horned cows and premium heifers.

By also utilizing artificial insemination and the natural service of such bulls as JK Creekmore, Whelming King, Phenomenon, Gunman, Emperor, and other top names in the breed, Cottonwood Creek Ranch's breeding program produces top-of-the-breed quality, color, character, and horn.
